St. Pete Woman Arrested On Thanksgiving After Trying To Sell Neighbor’s Vehicles To Scrap Yard
How much do you hate your neighbors to try and sell their cars behind their back to a scrap yard? Apparently, the answer is a lot!
Two vehicles mysteriously disappeared from their St. Petersburg home in August but it wasn’t until now that detectives figured out their neighbor tried to sell them to a scrapyard for money.
55-year-old Rosalee Baker was arrested Thanksgiving Day after she tried to sell a Ford F150 and a BMW that was parked behind a house. She tried to sell the vehicles by contacting Small Planet Auto Recycling in Tampa and “acted as if she owned the vehicles.”
During this time she completed the sale and requested to cancel the vehicle titles. She then received $300 for each sale! While the recycling place had the vehicles at the salvage yard they were listed as stolen and confirmed Baker’s involved due to her fingerprints on the documents.
