A woman who was driving at speeds over 100mph on the Howard Franklin was arrested for allegedly stealing a car. Troopers were on the look out for a 2017 Nissan Altima that was stolen from a car rental company around Gainesville. A trooper spotted the Nissan on 275 near Dale Mabry Highway.
When the trooper hit the lights, she hit the gas. Weaving in and out of traffic and driving at speeds over 100 mph, the Highway Patrol said. The troopers ended up using a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. Troopers surrounded the vehicle and ordered the driver, Wykeria Stevenson, 26, of Dunnellon, Florida, out of the car and was taken into custody.
