Internet service providers are working with the federal government to give more people access to the digital world. The program, which began on December 31, 2021, now has more ways for you to gain access to fit your needs.

There's currently a program, "Affordable Connectivity Program," that is paid for through an FCC initiative.

Through the program, people who can not afford internet access will be able to get a discount of $30 per month on their Internet service, or up to $75 per month per households living in qualified areas.

There are several companies, such as AT&T, Google Fiber, Comcast, and Spectrum, that are partnering with the FCC to provide low-income Americans with internet access.

All you have to do to gain access to these benefits is verify your eligibility for the ACP and then apply for the benefit online or submit a paper application. After that you will need to contact your preferred Internet service provider for the discounts to be applied to your monthly bills.

Of course over the last year COVID has become one of the main issues and how a city reacts to protecting it's people, which makes a big impact on it's residents in every way.
