Parents at Grand River Academy in Michigan are very upset after a kindergartner brought a bottle of Jose Cuervo ready-to-drink margaritas to school and shared it with fellow classmates. One 5-year-old had a cup full of it.

The 5-year-old who shared the booze, reportedly told the other students that is was alcohol. One of the students told of the teacher who then gave them A “funny face.” Some of the 5-year-olds thought it was just juice. The parents are not angry at the student who brought the alcohol but upset with teachers who were not paying attention. Parents are wondering how it happened, how could it have been prevented.

The School did release a statement, read below:

“While we try to keep an eye on everything our students bring to school, that’s simply not possible. It’s unfortunate that these types of adult beverages can be easily mistaken for child-friendly drinks.”

Reports all so tell us that poison control was called as well.
