Police reports tell us that a 4-year-old girl is dead after she was found at the Sunset Motel in Tampa.

Tampa Police Department are now trying to find out how she died. Police were called after 2 a.m. Monday, 4/18 to the Sunset motel located on East Hillsborough Avenue to help with an unresponsive child. Despite attempts to revive the girl on the scene and at the hospital, she was pronounced dead.

The child’s grandmother identified her as Nova Thomas. The girl's cause of death was not released, and is being investigated by the medical examiner. "She’s so joyful and my last words my baby told me were ‘I love you grannie, I said I love you too,’" said Diana Williams, the girl’s grandmother. Williams says she last saw the child on Saturday, and she appeared alright.
