The Nuthouse

Weekdays 3PM - 7PM

You’ve probably seen people on TiKTok over the past few months trying to get “dress-coded” at Disney World. For a long time if you were “coded” at Disney, they give the guest a free shirt to “cover-up.” Although this isn’t a guarantee, this little know Disney hack made it’s way to social media and went viral.  What first started off as an accident with the first guest that shared it on TikTok has exploded into everyone doing it on purpose.

@fkeys

well tik tok was right … got dress coded in disney because my shirt has a tie in the front #disneyworld #disney #dresscoded #disney

Disney doesn’t like backs I guess…. #epcot #disneyworld #disney #dresscode #fyp #foryoupage @jessiedipasquale

But it doesn’t happen every time as we can see in the TikTok below:

This TikToker clarified that she wasn’t looking for a free shirt and that she wasn’t even offered one. She wrote, “at entry i got stopped and was told they don’t allow tie front tops…wack. so i had to either leave and change or buy merch.” Although Disney has not released an official statement about no longer giving guest a free shirt for dress code violations,  it appears they have changed their stance.
