Florida Man Impersonated An Officer To Get His Ex-Girlfriend Arrested
Only in Florida! A Florida man has been arrested after he posed as a state trooper in an attempt to have his ex arrested. Claude Francis Tristam violated his court ordered injunction in March when he started contacting his ex. Reports tell us he began texting, calling and mailing the woman against her wishes.The Monroe County 911 center received a phone call from a man claiming to be an off-duty New York State trooper. The man reported that there was someone who was driving recklessly and could possibly be intoxicated.
Deputies in Monroe County ended up finding the suspected vehicle. At the time they were also approached by Tristram who wanted to assist them as well. Tristram was able to tell them where the driver was heading, which happened to be his ex girlfriends house. When deputies pulled the car over they found that the woman was not intoxicated. She told cops that she believed Tristram was the one who made the 911 call. Following an investigation, deputies were able to trace the call and found that it came from Tristrams account. The New York State police were contacted and they said they didn’t have a trooper with the name Tristram. Tristram was arrested and charged with false impersonation of a police office.
