Police Looking For Suspects After Hit-And-Run Crash In St. Petersburg
After enjoying a night out celebrating a birthday, a couple ended up involved in a vicious hit-and-run in downtown St. Pete. Marco Torres and his girlfriend Lyric Bushnell were celebrating her 26th birthday last Saturday. They grabbed a ride share around 1 a.m. and headed home.
The driver of the ride share had the green light. But as they crossed the intersection at 4th Ave, and 3rd St. N, a champagne colored Infiniti ran the light crashing into them. They got hit so hard, the SUV they were in flipped a few times. The video below not only shows the impact of the accident, but the driver and the passenger in the Infiniti got out and left. All passengers were injured in the crash. Police figured out the Infiniti was not stolen, but haven’t been able to find the two men in the video.
“We are trying to find these two individuals so, that way we can proceed with the case because it can be very detrimental when you leave the scene of a crash and don’t check on the other vehicle,” said police spokesperson Ashley Marie Limardo.
