A client came in to my tattoo shop, Emphasis, and was in need over a total half sleeve cover up. His current tattoo was faded, old, and had a name on it he definitely wanted to go away. It was a big job but he was not worried about sitting through it.
With a cover-up of that size and all spread out like that, something large was needed to be able to hide it all. At first the client was looking for a lion but after consulting with the artist Jorge they decided to change the design. This decision was made to
A lot of tattoo shops, and tattoo artists wouldn't take a cover up project like this. But Jorge was down to get to work. This one took around 7 hours total and cost $800.
Much respect to the client for sitting like a rock for the session. Cover ups can be a HUGE challenge for the artist but for the person who is so sick and tired of looking at a tattoo that they don't love, it can be one of the most rewarding experiences.
