VIDEO: Entire Alligator Found Inside HUGH Burmese Python In Florida
Burmese python’s are overrunning the Florida Everglades and it’s a problem for wildlife. Just recently, Rosie Moore, a geoscientist, shared a video on IG of a huge Burmese python that had consumed an entire alligator. The clip has gone viral and you’ll see why below, it’s WILD! Moore said that this python was 18-foot long and the gator inside was 5-foot.
After finding the snake, it was euthanized and turned over to the research lab. In the footage, you can see that the snake obviously ate something recently, because of the large bulge. Scientists opened up the snake and found the 5-foot gator.
According to Moore, because of the Burmese pythons long life span and their rapid reproduction, they pose a threat to a variety of wildlife in the Florida Everglades National Park.
Florida holds an annual Python Challenge, which helps remove invasive Burmese pythons from south Florida. Since 2000, more than 17,000 wild Burmese pythons have been removed from the state. [Source: Fox 13]
