A 10-year-old boy killed his mother because she refused to buy him a virtual reality headset and now he's going to be charged as an adult.

There's a history of disturbing issues that his mother noticed as her son grew up. When we was younger he would traumatize their family dog by swing him around by his tail as the dog screamed in agony. The boy would also talk to five different imaginary people. Six months ago, family members freaked out after the boy filled a balloon with a flammable substance and lit it on fire creating a massive explosion inside the living room.

During the day of the murder, the boy was upset because his mother woke him up early and refused to buy him a new virtual reality headset. While the mother was downstairs doing laundry he hacked into his mother's Amazon account and ordered an Oculus Virtual Reality set. He then took his mother's gun went downstairs and shot her but claimed it was an accident.

He later confessed to his aunt that he was “actually aiming the gun at his mother” but regrets his actions, apologized then immediately asked if the Amazon package had arrived.
