Two Florida men have been arrested after they set a house on fire with 21 people inside. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office someone reported a fire at a home in Southwest Florida.  When police arrived they found that Ulysses Rivera of Tampa had threatened to kill the people in the home with a machete. Rivera then poured gasoline throughout the house while  Orlando Rivera set the gas on fire.

The two suspects then fled the home and locked the door behind them. People who were in the home had to exit though the windows. According to LCSO 21 people were in the house at the time of the fire.  Only four suffered injuries. According to Lee County Sheriff Marceno  “These two violent offenders put multiple people in danger and they deserve to start their New Year behind bars at the Marceno Motel, I am proud of my deputies’ quick response to help save the victims of this fire, and I wish them a speedy recovery from this horrible situation.”
