Now the the pirates have put the eye patches away for another year, it's time to put those beads to good use. Don't throw them away. Instead, turn them in. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful wants them. They'll take your unwanted beads at their Tampa office. They'll be donated to the MacDonald Training Center, where they'll be cleaned up, repackaged and sold back to the krewes. Money raised will help their mission to empower people with disabilities to lead the lives they choose.

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful had over 400 volunteers out in Tampa this morning to help clean up after Gasparilla. Now their attention is getting those beads back so they can be reused next year and money can be raised for a great charity. Maybe organize a gathering of the beads where you work.

Pop this into your GPS: 730 West Emma Street, Tampa, FL 33603. Their office is open 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. If you have questions, call them at (813) 221-8733 or email info@keeptbb.org. The Tampa Bay Lightning got in on the Gasparilla fun this year.
