Congratulations To The Florida Facebook Group That Won $1M
I am apart of many Facebook groups, but none that have won $1M. Congratulations to Elizabeth Williams of Jacksonville, Florida. She claimed a $1M prize from the Florida Lottery’s ” $100K A year for life Spectacular Scratch Off- Game.” The Money wasn’t just for her however. She claimed it on behalf of the Lucky Lotto Champs Facebook group.
This group consist of five lottery players located across the sate of Florida. The entire group gets on Facebook live each time one of them plays a scratch-off game. They all watched as Williams played this time and were shocked when she was done. Williams said she couldn’t believe that she had a $1M winning ticket. All she could be heard saying is “O-M-G” over and over again.
The group chose to receive their winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000. Williams said they are a very close group of friends and they put their money together to play scratch off tickets. The winning ticket was purchased at a Publix, located off Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville.
This is a cool concept for a Facebook group. I think I may start something like this with family. Honestly we would probably all have to sign contracts before starting. Things get very complicated when money is involved, especially millions. Could you imagine someone in the group buying the scratch-off ticket, winning, then saying that was the one they purchased with their “own” money.
