7-Year-Old Shot And Killed After Jet Ski Argument On The Courtney Campbell Causeway
Reports tell us that a 7-year-old child was killed on the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Tampa yesterday. Investigators believe that two groups of people were arguing which led to this tragic outcome. A witness told police that one group was upset that the other group were riding jet skis close to shore where the kids were playing.
Sadly, the confrontation escalated to guns being pulled out. The 7-year-old’s grandfather was out there and pulled the child into the truck when shots started being fired. One of the bullets hit the grandfathers finger and they believe the same bullet hit the 7-year-old in the head.
The child was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. Tampa police Chief Lee Bercaw released a statement saying. “Our thoughts are with the family of this innocent child. Our Detectives will work tirelessly until all those involved are identified and arrested.”
