Meet Tampa Bay’s New Radio Host
Tampa Bay has a brand new radio host! Popular Tampa radio host Davy Rolando from ‘Orlando and The Freakshow’ has decided it’s time for him to leave. That means we needed to find a replacement and the decision we finally made the decision! Let’s all welcome Rich Ortiz to Orlando and The Freakshow! He’s worked at Wild 94.1 for a while, but incase you don’t know him or his story here’s everything you need to know below.
A note from Rich Ortiz:
What’s good Tampa!? Richie Rich Ortiz here and I am ecstatic to join ‘Orlando and the Freakshow’ from 6am-10am WiLD 94.1! I started at WiLD 9 years ago and I’ve considered myself very fortunate to work in promotions and learn the business side of radio. I’ve been lucky enough to get promoted and added to a legendary morning show. It’s been nothing short of a dream come true.
A little bit about me…
I moved to Tampa Bay when I was 18-years-old to study sports management at The University of Tampa. Initially, I wanted to become a sports agent, but things changed after taking a couple of radio classes. I soon took over and was running the radio department which was a lot of fun. Growing up in the Bronx, music has made a huge impression on the life. I have always had an affinity for music, but having a career in radio was never something I thought about until I was hired at Beasley Media Group. I’m a single guy, living in Tampa and also work at the Ritz as a stage a manager.
I want to thank Orlando, Davy, Meredith and everyone at Beasley for believing in and taking a chance on me. I am excited to see what the future holds and can’t wait to keep growing with WiLD 94.1 and seeing where my story goes!
