Tampa Is Actually Top 10 Cleanest…
We party hard, we pillage through the streets a few times a year and Tampa is actually top cleanest drinking water in the country. Based on water samples, across the United States, the Tampa drinking water ranks 8th. We’re proud but shocked just like you are. Sure we know the tragedy of Flint after watching The Sopranos, of course Jersey water would taste like it does. However one of the “cleanest water sources” does tickle a little, when you say it.
According to the study, the less contaminants like lead, bacteria, arsenic found in your tap water, the higher your ranking. You think 8 is a surprise, you wouldn’t guess the top dog in a gallon of tries. Memphis, Tennessee came in first place. I know! MEMPHIS? I was thinking Colorado or Wyoming, somewhere with nothing but nature for miles but Memphis? Ugh! Savannah, Georgia took the runner up spot with Provo, Utah in third. I believe you’re still shocked we’re actually cleanest. I know!

Now For The True Test
Instead of leaning on plastic bottles and destroying our country one landfill at a time, how ready are you to take a sip from the hallway fountain? I think they call it “the bubbler” in Boston. It’s making me itchy just thinking about it but maybe we’ve just been marketed to extremely well. Artesian springs and ice cap mountains have been the epitome of clean water imagery. Now with personal water bottles more popular can you step away from the Fiji, Smart Water and even Zephyrhills and top off your Yeti with some good-ole Tampa Tap?
The main cause for cities landing on the bottom of the clean water listing in old, failing pipe systems. When the aging pipes crack and start to leak, contaminated water can seep into the clean. Most of South Dale Mabry has been dealing with pipes, and now we know that results in Top 10 status.
