I love Manatees! My first time seeing one was at the Coffee Pot Bayou in St.Petersburg. Very sad to hear the passing of  Hugh who was a beloved manatee that lived in Sarasota. That's right a Florida Manatee is dead after having  "intense sex" with his brother. Hugh and his brother lived at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium.

The USDA released a necropsy report which stated that Hugh's fatal injury was a 14.5-centimeter rip in his colon, which was caused by a sexual encounter with his brother who was much larger. Workers at the aquarium reportedly observed high-intensity sexual behavior between the adult male manatees back on April 29th. After the Manatees first encounter, researchers found blood in Hugh's colon, but the 2 manatees kept going at it throughout the day. On the last encounter, the brothers had intercourse and sadly Hugh was found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool.

The USDA says the aquarium failed to protect Hugh before his death, but the facility feels other wise. The aquarium says sex between Hugh and Buffett was natural and they were mutually seeking interactions on the day Hugh died. The facility says Hugh showed no signs of discomfort or distress.Veterinarians instructed the handlers to try to distract the manatees from sex rather than separate them. They believed that separating them might cause stress and anxiety. Hugh and Buffett lived together for 27 years in the same pool, and were the only manatees in the aquarium.

Thoughts

What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with the USDA? If Hugh was having problems with his colon, then maybe they should have been separated? The two clearly could not stop going at it, so separating them may have been the solution. Im not A veterinarian though, so I can't say what would have been the right solution.

This Airport Was Ranked The Worst Florida

Do you love to travel? I do, but there are some airports that I prefer over others. I live in St. Petersburg and have yet to fly out of this city. Ive flown out of Tampa International however and I love it. Others do as well because it is ranked the number 3 airport on Floridarental.com.

Florida Rental ranked the best and worst airports in Florida! Melbourne Orlando International's came in at number one. Never been there but they recently announced a $72m terminal renovation and expansion project.Want to avoid the worst airports in Florida? Well, our friends over at Floridarental.com has came up with a list for us! They have  all 19 Florida-based airports and they ranked each destination against 14 factors to receive a score out of 100.

How They Got The Score

The rankings are based on several factors such as: Average minutes delay per flight, average minutes delay due to weather, number of scheduled outbound direct flight destinations, average cost of hotels within 5 miles ( for one night) average minutes delay due to security, average minutes delay due to aircraft arriving late, and percentage of all operations cancelled.

Have any idea what the worst airport in Florida is? Without telling you the exact airport, I will say they have been making some great improvements. There’s now a great bar with runway views between Gates. They have great food trucks in the short term parking lot's and more!

When it comes to traveling, what things exhaust you? I must say everything about the traveling makes me uninterested. It might be because I have yet to fly anywhere for fun this year. Work trips only and this may be the problem. Do you think my travel experience would be different if I flew out for fun?

Below you will find the worst ranked airport in Florida along with 4 others that had a low ranking.  This is all according to Floridarental.com.  Make sure you check out their full list as well!
