Have you seen the mysterious Sea Creature? It was actually found on a Florida beach that I use to live near. Andrea Brummett says she was walking on Fort Myers beach when she found this Sea creature which appeared creepy.

There is so much wildlife on Fort Myers Beach, but this was something that Brummett said she had never seen before. It was spotted near the Pink Shell on the the beaches north end. You can see dolphins, alligators and manatees but this was definitely something new in Brummett's opinion.

As soon as Brummett seen it she decided to film it and even poke it. In the video, the creature appears to want to suck her finger in. Also it in the video it looks like it is sucking itself into the sand.

What's The Name Of The Sea Creature?

According to James Douglas who is a professor at Florida Gulf Coast University, it is a “ tube-dwelling anemone.” It's basically a relative of Jellyfish and corals. It pretty much just sits in one place and eats whatever passes by. Douglas says poking it is not encouraged but it does not hurt either. This tube-dwelling anemones are very common in Florida waters and can be seen at low tide.

Where Have You Heard The Word Anemone Before?

Finding Nemo! Remember this is the word that he could not pronounce. I totally understand why he couldn't because I barley can either as Im writing this story. Im also inspired to go back and watch the movie now which was one of my favorites back in the day.

There is so much wildlife in our waters. So many undiscovered animals as well. I feel like we focus on space so much but have yet to really explore the oceans? What if Aliens live underwater? Ok now im getting crazy, I know. Got any pictures of these Tube-Dwelling Anemone's? email me Babs@wild941.com

4 Florida White Sand Beaches Named Prettiest In America

Florida has the most prettiest beaches in the country. We hate going to beaches that have rocky/shelled sand. Even though it does raise the temperature, it's so relaxing to run your hands and feet through that soft, pillowy sand. If you're planning a summer vacation and want a destination with white soft sand and gorgeous blue ocean, check out these 4 Florida destinations.

Tripstodiscover.com recently posted their rankings for the 16 prettiest white sand beaches in America. Florida had the most destinations on the list with 4 beaches. Behind them was Hawaii with three beaches on the list. Some of the Florida beaches on their list are pretty obvious, since they've been voted best beach in the country on numerous occasions. But we'll get to that later...

2 of the beaches that made the list are right here in the Tampa Bay area. The other two are definitely worth the drive.

Siesta Key

Siesta Key has also been commonly known for their gorgeous white sand beaches. And if you'd like to get away from the large beach crowds, this spot is even better. Best of all the sand is made up of nearly all quartz. This means that you can actually walk barefoot on the beach without burning the bottom of your feet.

Caladesi Island - Dunedin

We feel that Caladesi is one of the most underrated beaches in the Tampa Bay area. Most people just settle for the Dunedin Causeway but it's so worth it to take the ferry over to the island where there are usually less people.
