Tampa Pet Groomer Turns Dogs Into Exotic Animals
Groomer Darling Elliot is making a name for herself in the Tampa Bay area by turning regular dogs into pieces of artwork. She treats her clients’ pets like canvases, creating hand-painted artwork and transforms them into exotic animals, cartoon characters and more.
Darling Elliott and her daughter work together and took their grooming business to the next level by adding this new artistic design. Elliot first got the idea when she was enrolled in school and noticed a white poodle walking by with black zebra stripes. Her daughter was with her at the time and they both instantly fell in love. Her daughter helps run the salon and it’s been which has been a sweet bonding moment for the both of them.
Wondering how much does something like this costs? Elliot said, “Just doing the ears, feet and tail start at $85 but if you want a full design on small dogs cost $250. Designs like the giraffe on a 50 lbs. dog start at $500.”
Some dog lovers have been worried about the dye process thinking it could be harmful to animals. Thankfully, that’s not true. They use a special nontoxic, vegan dye designed especially for dogs. That means it’s completely safe, and as long as the dog is patient and well behaved they’re more than happy to create a master piece with your dog.
