A Florida Man says we shouldn't worry about a hurricane until this happens! Do you know Omg Wicks? I don't know if you follow him on social media, but he does Florida comedy. He is from Fort Myers and I actually lived in that city for many years before moving to Tampa. Every year us Floridians have to get prepared for some type of Tropical storm or Hurricane.
Last year it was Ian, and this year Idalia! According to Fox News 13, Tropical storm Idalia is expected to hit Florida as a hurricane. This is there prediction as of Monday at 3 a.m. Things do change and Im hoping that is the case in this situation.
Omg Wick's has his thoughts on when we should actually take hurricanes serious! Remember this is just comedy
Whats Crazy is that I actually have never known for the Waffle House to close. If they are closed, we indeed need to panic. Remember Wicks does comedy, but please get prepared for Idalia!

As of now, computer models are suggesting that Idalia will make landfall anywhere from the Panhandle to the Tampa Bay Area as a hurricane. It's not clear how powerful the storm will be at this time.
A hurricane watch was issued on Sunday for the Gulf Coast of Florida. That's From Englewood to Indian pass and also Tampa Bay. A storm surge watch for those areas have also been issued.
Reports tell us that direct impacts in Tampa will begin Tuesday with tropical rain. Strong winds could lead to power outages as well as storm surge and coastal flooding, especially during periods of high tide.
State Of Emergency
Saturday, Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday declared a state of emergency for 33 Florida counties, He says this is "out of an abundance of caution."
As of 11:24 am on Monday all Hillsborough County schools are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. On a side note, I went to the grocery store Sunday and all the water was gone. People are getting prepared and you should too!
Sunday Update: Category 1 Hurricane Idalia Preparations Begin Along Florida’s West Coast
As expected, today is really going to be the day we find out the path of what is likely to become Hurricane Idalia. Not much has changed since yesterday's update. The storm is expected to make landfall in Florida Tuesday into Wednesday. Initially forecasters seemed to think this would only be a tropical storm. But now Idalia looks like it will become at least a category 1 hurricane before it gets to Florida.
As for today, it was all about the heat again. Temperatures in the Tampa area reached the mid 90s again. We are still a couple days away from any impact of what will likely become Hurricane Idalia. See the 5pm update below from ABC Action News.
