Florida Couple Arrested, Deaf Child At School With Cockroaches In Backpack
This is absolutely disgusting! A Volusia, Florida couple was arrested after their disabled 15-year-old daughter arrived to school wearing dirty clothes and has cockroaches crawling out of her backpack. The teens mother and her fiancé were arrested for child neglect but the mom has since bonded out.

The 15-year-old daughter is deaf and mute, went to school with multiple cockroaches in and outside of her backpack and wearing dirty clothes. After the teacher saw what condition the girl showed up to school in they alerted authorities. In total there’s a four children who live in the home varying ages 16, 15, 10 and 8. A neighbor said, “That’s very sad. I really don’t know what’s going in the house. I’ve never been in the house.”
When police arrived they took several pictures inside the child’s home and saw some disgusting things. They saw the house was in complete disarray! The inside of the house had mold, trash, dirty clothes and cockroaches crawling everywhere. The bottom of the refrigerator had standing water, mold and roaches where they kept any fresh food. The children’s bedroom had dirty sheets and roaches plus other bugs crawling on the beds. The couple also had multiple animals in the house, including two huge dogs. There was dog feces all over the floor and carpet. Police also discovered that the air conditioner was broken and not working making it 85 degrees in the house.
The arrest report pulled from WESH said that, “DCF has been to the family’s residence multiple times in the past due to potential unsuitable living conditions, including chronic head lice.” The 15-year-old was who is profoundly deaf can only use sign language to communicate but no one in the house knew how to communicate with her. This is why the couple was arrested arrested! For all these abusive things and the horrible living conditions.
