Married Woman Stages Fake Weddings To Scam Three Men:
Zhou, 35, was already married with a kid when she came up with this scam. According to HollywoodUnlocked, she had no financial issues and her husband owned a successful business. That being said, there was no direct reason why she tried to scam three men out of $92,000. The rumor is that her husband was constantly busy with his job and didn’t have much time for her. In total, Zhou targeted three men, which she dated at the same time without her husband knowing. So how did she get these three men to fall for the scheme? She got them to file legal documentation by telling them one huge lie. Zhou told them her home was “illegally demolished” and she needed to remain single to qualify for compensation. After that she hired actors to show up to the three fake weddings and act like her relatives.
Zhou wanted to go through with these three fakes marriages to collect money and gifts from guests. She was ultimately caught after one of her husbands, Zhang, realized she faked her pregnancy. She had used a photo she saw online and he noticed the picture looked familiar to another one online. Zhou told him that she was pregnant with twins but wanted to give birth to the babies in the city her mother lived in. She requested he pay for her expenses but when he asked for documents he noticed they looked fake. When Zhang requested to visit Zhou and the babies, she again hired actors to play the doctor who delivered them. She now faces ten years in prison for fraud and stealing 660,000 yuan which is $92,000 in US currency.
