As heartbreaking as the headline is, you read it right. "Florida man indicted after child writes help on school bathroom wall."  Randy Schoolcraft has been indicted after he was arrested for sexual battery on a child under the age of 12. This horrific incident happened in Collier county which is about 4 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg.

Schoolcraft's victim told police that he forced her to perform multiple sex acts at various places. One of those places included a car. The suspect also showed the child videos of himself that he recorded assaulting her. Like all pedophiles, he told the child not to tell anyone because he could go to jail. Deputies searched Schoolcraft’s home and found a large collection of child pornography.

3 Florida men indicted by a grand jury on child sex crimes

The Florida State Attorney's office announced that Randy Schoolcraft along with 2 other men have been indicted on child sex crimes. The other 2 men include Cristian Cruz Lopez and Pedro Morales.

Christian Lopez was arrested was arrested in 2021 for sexual battery charges after he allegedly molested a child under the age of 12 on multiple occasions.

Pedro Morales was arrested in September of this year after a child told police he raped her multiple times. He was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child under the age of 12. Also 100 counts of child pornography possession.

All three men are being held at the Collier County jail without bond!

Please talk to your kids about situations like these. It is important for them to know that they can come to you and talk to you about anything. It's sad that a child had to resort to writing help on a school bathroom wall but Im glad she did it. She did not feel protected by her guardians which is so heartbreaking.

Which Florida City Made The List With Highest Murder Rates In U.S.

There's lots to love about the Sunshine State, but we're also notorious for the craziest crimes. One Florida city even ranked in the top 15 for highest murder rates in America. It's not really a list we love to see Florida on, but we can't say we're not surprised with all the insane stuff that happens here.

Our friends at neighboorhoodscout.com ranked the top 30 cities in the country with the highest murder rates per 1,000 residents. They condensed their research by including cities with 25,000 or more people. They collected their data by the number of murders reported to the FBI to have occurred in each city, and the population of each city. The city population data comes straight from the US Bureau of the Census at the time of each analysis. For instance, the 2022 list population uses 2020 population figures. The 2021 list uses 2019 figures, and so forth.

There were 14 new cities making the list this year. "The newcomer on this list with the highest murder rate is Saginaw, MI. The number of murders in Saginaw more than doubled from the previous year." Thankfully (and surprisingly) only one Florida city was ranked in the research.

Here's the top 15 cities with the highest murder rate. Click here to see the full list.
