Megan Thee Stallion Drops ‘HISS’ Takes Shots At Nicki Minaj
Megan Thee Stallion is not shying away from her beef with Nicki Minaj. Megan released “HISS” on Friday (Jan. 26) with a couple of bars aimed at the Pink Friday 2 artist.
“These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start,” the Houston native raps.
“Megan’s Law” is a federal law that requires registered sex offenders’ information to be available to the public. Clearly, it is a dig at Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender. Petty was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022 for failing to register in California as a sex offender. He and Minaj moved to California from New York, where he was initially registered. In 1995, Petty was convicted of the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He spent four years in prison in New York.
Nicki Minaj Responds To Megan Thee Stallion’s Diss
Shortly after “HISS” was released, Nicki hopped on Instagram Live and previewed a new song that also had a bar aimed at Megan.
“Bad bitch she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The bitch fell off, I said get up on your good foot,” she rapped.
The bar refers to Tory Lanez shooting Megan in the foot in July 2020. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison last August for the crime.
In addition to the bar, Nicki mocked Megan and attempted to make an impression on her with her Southern accent. “You have three Grammys, and you have to learn how to rap on the beat and be comfortable in the music,” she said.
To add to her response, Nicki also took a photo of her feet and posted it onto X (formerly known as Twitter).
