The New Specialty License Plates Coming To Florida
There are some new specialty license plates coming to Florida after the Senate passed a bill. That bill now heads to the governors desk for his signature. If he signs it the specialty license plates will go into effect on October 1 there are some really interesting ones including one for Margaritaville, which is honoring the life of Jimmy Buffett. That plate will benefit the SFC Charitable Foundation Inc. That organization provides grants to nonprofits to help with recovery efforts in areas impacted by disasters.
Other Specialty License Plates Coming To Florida
There are also some other specialty license plates that will be coming if the governor signs the bill. The first one to highlight is one for Universal Orlando Resort. Now, Walt Disney World already has their own license plate, but Universal wanted their own as well. Universal’s plate will benefit Give Kids The World nonprofit, which seeks to provide “week-long, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families.”
Right here is the Tampa Bay area we have an organization that looks like they will have their own specialty license plate. Clearwater Marine Aquarium will get on as well and the extra money goes to help rescue marine life, perform research and provide environmental education.
The other one to highlight is for Recycle Florida. If you choose to get this license plate then you money will go to Recycle Florida Today Foundation. That foundation is to increase public awareness about the importance of recycling.
There are more of them that will be available if the governor signs the bill. You can see the list here. I love the specialty plates. Personally, I have a Tampa Bay Buccaneers one, but not the one with the Super Bowl LV logo on it. I like mine with just the Bucs logo on it. I also am glad that my money is going to a charity and I get to support my favorite football team.
