Dangerous Tampa Strip Club Shooting Leaves 1 Injured, 2 Arrested

Two men were arrested after a Tampa strip club shooting happened early Monday morning. According to WFLA , deputies were called to Secrets Gentlemen’s Club when an incident left one injured and two arrested. Apparently, an argument happened inside the establishment spilled outside in the parking lot. Plus, the entire scuffle was caught on camera and on video you can see a male pull out his gun and start shooting. You can see the video below!

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced that just before 2 a.m., there was a shooting at the Secrets Gentlemen’s Club on West Hillsborough Avenue. Deputies said when they arrived they heard multiple gunshots coming from the club. That’s when they saw a white SUV driving erratically from the scene. Police then found Joar Michel, 39, lying on the ground after he was shot in the shoulder. Officers tied to initiate a traffic stop on the SUV, but the driver refused. The owner of the vehicle is Kenneth Jackson, 34, and instead of pulling over he allegedly kept driving. He was on the run and refused to be captured by police.

Police kept pursuing the SUV for several minutes until Jackson approached a stop sign. That’s when deputies were able to box him in before he tried to flee on foot. Luckily, the Tampa Police Department arrested him but he wasn’t the only one. Deputies also arrested Jafet Rodriguez, 39, who allegedly fired the gun. Sheriff Chad Chronister said, “The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will not stand for any form of violence in our community. These two individuals will be held accountable for their reckless and violent actions.” Sadly, this is just another shooting that’s happened in Tampa Bay. This isn’t the first strip club shooting in the area and unfortunately, it might not be the last.

Here Are The Best Strip Clubs To Visit In Tampa

Tampa Bay is known for a lot of things like its beautiful beaches, theme parks, and lovely weather but you can’t miss all the adult entertainment options. If you’ve ever driven around the Tampa Bay area you’ve absolutely noticed the slew of strip clubs you can choose from whether you’re lonely or need a fun night out with friends.

As a matter of fact, growing up in Tampa it’s normal to go out to a a strip club after the clubs instead of waiting for a bachelor party or special event. One thing you’ve got to know before going is when hitting up a fully nude club you can’t buy alcohol inside. So make sure you check before going to your favorite spot.

One spot left off our list but definitely worth mentioning is The Penthouse. It’s located off 1801 N. Westshore Blvd. Tampa, FL 33607, just minutes away from Tampa International Airport and Raymond James Stadium. This is a great spot for bachelor’s parties or special events. Across the bridge in the Pinellas area, Diamond Dolls and Oasis are both worth the trip.

Clubs You Might Want To Avoid

Most clubs are a great time. But there are a few that can be a little underwhelming. Secrets in Town n’ Country is a little outdated but they do have a happy hour worth checking out. We’ve never been to this one, only drove by it. But Silks in Pinellas looks like a hole-in-the-wall spot that could be a hit or miss. Have you ever been? Let us know how it was!

  • Mons Venus

    This is one of the most famous strip clubs in the country and has been mentioned for decades as a Tampa staple. Although, it’s smaller, the girls are 10’s across the board. It’s a fully nude bar which means there’s no liquor allowed if you want a buzz.

  • 2001 Odyssey

    2001 is a must because of the space ship on top of the place. It’ll make more sense when you see it because that’s their VIP room as well. This is also a fully nude spot so alcohol is not allowed.

  • Scores Night Club

    This award winning gentlemen’s club & steakhouse has some beautiful women but delicious food as well. They serve liquor so it’s not fully nude but it doesn’t matter because the vibe is amazing.

  • Thee Dollhouse

    With a fun atmosphere, alcohol and hot bartenders this is the perfect place to go to with friends.
