Kobe Bryant’s Parents Attempt To Sell 2000 Championship Ring
Joe and Pamela Bryant have been catching a lot of grief from the internet recently. I would usually keep myself out of any internet drama, but I think the keyboard warriors have a leg to stand on for this debate. We are talking about one of the greatest NBA players of all time and one of his most prized possessions. Kobe Bryant‘s parents are getting roasted by the internet for attempting to sell one of his championship rings.
Back in 2000, Kobe Bryant defeated the Indiana Pacers to win his first of 5 championships in his storied career. When he received his championship ring he decided to gift it to his father, Joe. Now call me crazy, but if someone gives something to me as a gift I don’t ever think about selling it. The Bryant family thinks differently. Now the ring is sitting on an auction site, Goldin, at $94,000 and fans are FURIOUS. This isn’t the first time they’ve tried to do this either!
The Bryant Family Relationship
It’s no secret that Kobe and his parents didn’t have the best relationship. There were several attempts at reconciling, but the family rarely saw eye to eye. Especially when it came down to Kobe’s memorabilia. Kobe was so adamant that his memorabilia should not be sold, he tweeted about it back in 2013 when his parent attempted to sell the ring the first time.
“When u give Give GIVE and they take Take TAKE at what point do u draw a line in the sand?” Kobe Bryant tweeted according to the Los Angeles Times. He also added the hashtags “hurt beyond measure,” “gave me no warning,” and “love?”. The auction even made Kobe sue his parents because Kobe didn’t give his permission to sell any of the items in question and wasn’t notified about the auction.
Do you think Kobe Bryant’s parents have the right to sell his ring?

5 NBA Teams to Watch Right Now
The NBA season is in full swing. The league recently came back to action after the 2024 All-Star break, and now, the season is about two-thirds over, and the end is in sight. But, there’s still lots of season up ahead, and plenty of things could happen between now and the end of the season. So, as we had into the final stretch, what are some of the NBA teams to watch right now?
The teams on top are no stranger to high rankings. These teams have a long history of strong performances over the past few years. Hardly anyone would argue against the fact that the Boston Celtics are the strongest team in the league right now. They just keep winning, winning and winning. It’s going to be hard to bring these guys down. Other extra strong teams include the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder. All three of those teams – the Celtics, Timberwolves and Thunder – have able to rack up 40 wins before 20 losses.
This is always an exciting time in the NBA. While plenty of the season is behind us, a lot could happen in the final one-third of the regular season. There are always surprises and upsets. I’m a Detroit Pistons fan, and while I’m not delusional enough to think that we’re going to win it all this year, I believe in our team. I truly think the Pistons will surprise people in the last part of the season. Cade Cunningham has been playing very well lately. He’s such a star. Moreover, the team just beat the Chicago Bulls on the road on Tuesday night (Feb. 27). That was following a near-win against the New York Knicks on Monday (Feb. 26), which the team lost largely due to a bad call. So, these guys might surprise you.
Let’s get into five NBA teams to watch right now.

Even though he completed 4 years at the University for Sports Management, Ortiz realized his true passion for radio after taking a couple of classes to fulfill his communications minor and volunteering at UT's WUTT radio station as a sports director. Rich also worked at several clubs in Tampa as a host/promoter where he would meet and work alongside Davy Rolando, who would be the one who would help him get a job at WiLD 94.1. From there, Rich worked his way up from Promotions assistant to promotions coordinator, to eventually full-time on-air.
