This horrific incident which happened in Tampa left four people injured. The Armature Works area is about 30 minutes form where I live in St. Petersburg.
Florida Rapper Turned Himself In After The Shooting That Happened Near Armature Works
Jaimartez Young who goes by the rap name J300 turned himself in 3 days after the shooting near Armature Works. He’s being charged with attempted murder in the first-degree premeditated discharge, discharging a firearm in public and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
J300 who is only 19 is the second teenager who was involved in the shooting. The day after the incident police arrested 17-year-old Gabriel Catuy who is being charged with attempted second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
What Led To The Shooting?
Police say two groups of teens got into an argument Tuesday right outside of the Stone Throw restaurant which is near Armature Works. Sadly the argument escalated into physical violence. Weapons were pulled and that’s when the shooting happened.
Tampa police quickly responded to the 1900 block of North Ola Ave just after 4pm. When they arrived they found that 3 victims had been injured. One was a pregnant woman who had been shot in both legs. Thankfully the baby was unharmed and the mother is safely recovering at the hospital. The two other victims were also women. One was shot in the arm and the other was grazed by a bullet.
