This horrific incident which happened in Tampa left four people injured. The Armature Works area is about 30 minutes form where I live in St. Petersburg.
Florida Rapper Turned Himself In After The Shooting That Happened Near Armature Works
Jaimartez Young who goes by the rap name J300 turned himself in 3 days after the shooting near Armature Works. He's being charged with attempted murder in the first-degree premeditated discharge, discharging a firearm in public and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
J300 who is only 19 is the second teenager who was involved in the shooting. The day after the incident police arrested 17-year-old Gabriel Catuy who is being charged with attempted second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say two groups of teens got into an argument Tuesday right outside of the Stone Throw restaurant which is near Armature Works. Sadly the argument escalated into physical violence. Weapons were pulled and that's when the shooting happened.
Tampa police quickly responded to the 1900 block of North Ola Ave just after 4pm. When they arrived they found that 3 victims had been injured. One was a pregnant woman who had been shot in both legs. Thankfully the baby was unharmed and the mother is safely recovering at the hospital. The two other victims were also women. One was shot in the arm and the other was grazed by a bullet.
This investigation is still active and I will keep you updated when I hear more. Armature Works did release the following statement:
"First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to law enforcement for their quick response and ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of our community. We want to reassure you that yesterday’s incident was isolated in nature. Your safety remains our utmost priority, and we are committed to maintaining Armature Works as one of the best places in Tampa Bay to gather with friends and family."
Which Florida City Made The List With Highest Murder Rates In U.S.
There's lots to love about the Sunshine State, but we're also notorious for the craziest crimes. One Florida city even ranked in the top 15 for highest murder rates in America. It's not really a list we love to see Florida on, but we can't say we're not surprised with all the insane stuff that happens here.
Our friends at neighboorhoodscout.com ranked the top 30 cities in the country with the highest murder rates per 1,000 residents. They condensed their research by including cities with 25,000 or more people. They collected their data by the number of murders reported to the FBI to have occurred in each city, and the population of each city. The city population data comes straight from the US Bureau of the Census at the time of each analysis. For instance, the 2022 list population uses 2020 population figures. The 2021 list uses 2019 figures, and so forth.
There were 14 new cities making the list this year. "The newcomer on this list with the highest murder rate is Saginaw, MI. The number of murders in Saginaw more than doubled from the previous year." Thankfully (and surprisingly) only one Florida city was ranked in the research.
