Will Smith & Martin Lawrence Are Better & “Badder” In New Sequel
Finally, the wait is over, and the Bad Boys are back! Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back portraying our favorite buddy cops of all-time, Mike Lowrey & Marcus Burnett. Bad Boys: Ride Or Die is the 4th installment in the franchise, and it has all the lure that has made these movies the blockbuster that it is. Just in time for the summer, this movie has had everyone talking and has an audience score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
I had the honor of seeing Bad Boys 4 at an advanced screening held 4 days before its theatrical release. Thanks to the studio and AMC Veterans in Tampa for hosting it. I viewed it in the IMAX theater, and I highly recommend that you see it that way too. I had great seats and of course I was ready to watch this action-packed flick with my popcorn and soda in hand. Soon as the lights dimmed, and the film got rolling it was action and comedy right at the beginning of the movie. It got off to a great start and the story was built quickly.
I like how this movie took Mike and Marcus on the other side of the law as they race against time to exonerate the beloved Captain Conrad who has been framed for being a corrupt cop. Will & Martin’s performances were great, with Martin’s Marcus getting a lot of shine and jokes that had the entire crowd laughing out loud. I felt at times the movie got cheesy but, not enough to dub this movie bad. The action and camera shots were like none other than I’ve seen before. There was a awesome fight scene where I felt that I was in a Call Of Duty video game.
Overall, the movie is worth the watch and I give it a solid 6.5/10. Definitely got check out Bad Boys: Ride Or Die.
