Florida Man Tells Police He Burned The Bodies Of Missing Family
Rory Atwood who is now in jail said that the family of four had been living with him in Hudson and were there for about a month. Atwood said there was a fight and he ended up shooting and killing the two adults while trying to defend himself. Police however say that they didn’t see any injuries on Atwood that corresponded his story.
Atwood did not admit to killing the two kids but detectives say he told them that he burned all four bodies in a fire pit outside the home. He was telling the truth because according to the affidavit, detectives found human remains in the fire pit. Atwood is being charged with first-degree homicide. This incident is still being investigated and reports say they are still waiting on the remains to be identified.
Rain Mancini’s mother has released a statement saying, “Rain was my everything. She was my friend. She was my smile. She was my baby girl, What did my grandchildren do to him that was so bad? They were only babies. How could you do any kind of harm to them? How could you do that? You have to be totally, totally a monster that had no regard for life whatsoever.” The Mancini family has launched an online fundraiser. Comments or concerns, please email me Babs@wild941.com
