Julio Foolio’s Death Brings A Real Conversation To Orlando And The Freakshow
With the resent news about Julio Foolio’s death, there are many outlets using the news for various reasons. Most use the news at click bait for page views and hits. However, that isn’t the goal for WiLD 94.1. Julio Foolio’s death brings a real conversation to Orlando and the Freakshow, and we would like to take this opportunity to educate our youth.
Julio Foolio’s Death
According to NBC News, Tampa police were called in the early hours of Sunday morning about a shooting that had occurred in front the Holiday Inn on Fowler avenue and McKinley drive. When police arrived, they found 3 people injured and pronounced 1 dead at the scene. Charles Jones, better known as Julio Foolio, was identified as the man deceased.
In the hours leading up to his death, Julio Foolio had been very active on his social media about his birthday celebrations. Even going to the lengths of posting addresses and fliers of the places he was going to be at. This was especially surprising to his 1 million followers seeing as Jones had been involved in an ongoing street/rap beef that has been highly publicized. Followers even commented and messaged Julio Foolio to warn him about how dangerous his actions were.
Jones and his crew were kicked out of his AirBNB due to violating their guidelines and rules, which ultimately led him to rent out a room at the Holiday Inn. After another birthday party celebration, Julio Foolio was essentially ambushed at the same Holiday Inn.
Orlando and the Freakshow Conversation
Initially Orlando did not want to mention the shooting and quoted J.Cole in First Person Shooter by saying “If you ain’t never posted a rapper when he was alive, You can’t post about him after he get hit”, but he changed his mind and used this opportunity as a teaching moment. Not just to parents informing them of the violence in our streets, but also to the children and letting them know the dangers of the life some of these rappers are living.
