Last Year's Birthday Bash

If you don't know what to expect, a look at last year's birthday bash will help you get an idea. It was a packed lineup with a bunch of Rod's friends. The show started out with an appearance from Mook Boy. Then Tampa's own Tom G hit the stage. Next up was G Herbo and Real Boston Richey. One of the most memorable appearances was from Toosii who came on stage and performed everyone's "favorite song". Another artists that got the crowd hype of the crowd was Moneybagg Yo. Rod also brought out Lil Baby and sang "Rags to Riches" together!

Just like last year, there is no indication as to who the "friends" are on the lineup will be. However, you can be confident that it will be a good one.

Who do you want Rod Wave to bring for his Birthday Bash?

The hottest and most anticipated birthday celebration took place in Tampa last night and the vibes were LIT. Rod Wave celebrated his birthday with a sold out crowd right across the bridge from his home town. Amalie Arena went off for the hometown boy! The show had us hyped for his new album entitled "Nostalgia," due to drop on Sept. 15. The question on everyone's minds leading up to the show was: Who are the friends Rod plans on inviting? With features from Jack Harlow and Lil Durk on his last two albums, nothing was ruled out.

Rod Wave & Friends

It was a packed lineup with a bunch of Rod's friends. The show started out with an appearance from Mook Boy to get the crowd started. Then Tampa's own Tom G hit the stage and the crowd went WiLD. Next up on the stage was G Herbo and Real Boston Richey. It was no surprise to a lot of people when Toosii came on stage. Rod has toured the country twice in the last two years, including last year’s sold out Beautiful Mind tour with Toosii. The last friend to show out and hype of the crowd was Moneybagg Yo. Even though he completed 4 years at the University for Sports Management, Ortiz realized his true passion for radio after taking a couple of classes to fulfill his communications minor and volunteering at UT's WUTT radio station as a sports director. Rich also worked at several clubs in Tampa as a host/promoter where he would meet and work alongside Davy Rolando, who would be the one who would help him get a job at WiLD 94.1. From there, Rich worked his way up from Promotions assistant to promotions coordinator, to eventually full-time on-air. Rich loves to write about his favorite Tampa food spots, concert reviews, and the WiLDest Florida man/woman stories.
