Kevin Feige Gives More Detail On Upcoming “Fantastic 4” Movie
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is hoping to bring new life to their brand after its decade long run of hit movies and content. Fantastic 4 has a good opportunity to bring MCU back to the box office juggernaut it is known to be. There have been a couple great movies and a lot of lackluster ones as well after Marvel closed the chapter on their Infinity Saga, Their Multiverse Saga has gotten off to a rocky start and fans are a bit confused on where the direction is going.
We know Deadpool & Wolverine is on the way and is already breaking pre-sale records, and an announcement was made for Avengers: Secret Wars. The future of the multiverse saga looks hopeful. Finally, it feels like it’s all coming together and making sense story wise. I feel the glue for this MCU saga is Marvel’s first family of Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, Human Torch & The Thing. With the movie set for July 25th, 2025, we are starting to get into some big multiverse territory.
It was announced yesterday (June 26th) that MCU head honcho Kevin Feige confirmed that the Fantastic Four will a period piece, and set in the 1960’s. The big question remains though, will this 1960’s time period be set in the MCU that we know? Or in a whole other universe? Early predictions are that it is in another universe and (POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!) that big bad of the movie, Galactus comes through and destroys their home, forcing the team to teleport to the main MCU and warn the other heroes about Galactus coming.
Can’t wait to see how this turns out. Praying that it is better than the last two efforts from the early 2000’s and 2015. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Josephy Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will star in the film next summer.
