Florida Woman Climbs An Apartment Building To Evade Police
I have read a bunch of stories about how people try to get away from the police. The most common way is speeding away in a vehicle. Some other people try disguising themselves in other clothing. Some even try their best game of hide and seek. This Florida story is something I have never heard of before though. This Florida woman climbs an apartment building to evade police.
The Story
If you didn’t know already, you should not scale buildings in attempt to avoid the police. The sheriff’s office even had to put out a public service announcement warning people not to do so because of this case. What began as an arrest turned into a case of preserving the life of Quanae Leasia Toussaint.
According to Fox 13, Hillsborough County police attempted to serve the 27-year-old with a felony warrant on Tuesday, but Toussaint had other plans. First, Toussaint decided to lock herself in her room. Then, she thought it was a great idea to try and escape the police by sneaking out of the window on the second floor. However, police caught her in the act. The entire incident was actually caught on police bodycam. You can watch the whole exchange here below.
Toussaint started the day with felony warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing a gun in a public or residential property, but can now add resisting arrest to her charges.
Sheriff Chad Chronister wrote in a Facebook post “To see our deputies shift from making an arrest to preserving life is commendable,” He continued his statement saying “This criminal had no intention of being arrested and I couldn’t be more proud of our team for taking her into custody safely.”
What’s the craziest way you heard someone try and evade police?
