2 People Including Toddler Are Dead After Drowning In Florida Over The Weekend
Sadly, you read the headline right. “2 people including a toddler are dead after drowning in Florida over the weekend.” According to Floridahealth.gov, Florida ranks 4th for unintentional drownings of all ages, but we rank the highest when it comes to unintentional drownings of children. The drownings happened in sperate locations. One of them happened in my old neighborhood of Naples which is where I Iived right before moving to St. Petersburg.
Toddler Dead After Drowning In Naples
Reports tell us that the Collier County Sheriffs department are investigating after a toddler drowned in Naples on Friday night. Around 10 p.m. on July 26th, North Collier Fire, Naples Fire and Collier County EMS responded to a call on Boabadilla Street. Deputies say a toddler was found dead near the bank of a pond . CPR was performed but medical officials were unsuccessful. The toddlers father says he dropped his son off at his mother’s home on Friday. Later that day he tried to get a hold of her but could not. Shortly after he learned that his son had drowned. As stated earlier, this incident is still being investigated. I will keep you updated when I hear more.
Woman Dead After Drowning On Englewood Beach
According to the Charlotte County Sheriffs department, a woman who has not been identified is dead after drowning on Englewood beach Saturday morning. Medical officials provided live-saving measures on the victim for an unknown medical condition. She was later rushed to Englewood hospital where she later died. The medical condition has not been determined at this time but officials say that’s what she died from. Read More
There was a third drowning that happened in Bonita Springs on New Pass Bridge, but the man was rushed to the hospital and his condition is unknown. Please be safe this summer and use caution when around bodies of water.
