10 Arrested For Tampa ‘Street Takeover Event’
Street takeover events have become a huge issue in Tampa Bay and police have been cracking down on them in a big way. Ten people have been arrested for their involvement in a coordinated street takeover event at a Riverview intersection Saturday night. Most of these events are posted on social media with word spreading quickly. This one drew hundreds of people to an intersection so they could do donuts, drift and other illegal activities.
Many Arrested For Tampa ‘Street Takeover Event’
There was a mess left at the intersection including tire marks at Pradera Reserve Boulevard and Ambleside Boulevard in Riverview. Multiple videos were shared online of cars doing donuts in the middle of the intersection with people standing around recording. Neighbors said they’ve called police on street racers before, but Saturday night was shocking and extremely loud. One resident said donuts in the area aren’t new but the whole takeover is different and wild. Over 30 police officers came in from all over leaving anyone who was watching running in every direction.

- Jaewon Foster, 29, Haines City
- Ethan Marton, 20, Holiday
- Marquis Pinkins, 29, Haines City
- Alex Rodriguez-Lazu, 20, Lakeland
- Ramon Santiago, 20, Lakeland
- Grant Watson, 18, Wesley Chapel
- A 17-year-old boy from Wesley Chapel
- A 17-year-old boy from Tampa
According to ABCActionNews, “The 10 suspects are facing various charges ranging from unlawful racing on a highway to drug possession and fleeing to elude. Those arrested were taken to Orient Road Jail while the juveniles were taken to the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center.” They also confiscated three guns and impounded four vehicles along with the multiple arrests. With more of the street takeovers happening all over the place police are doing their best to crack down on them.
