Florida Man Hurled Chihuahua Off Balcony ‘Like A Football’ Arrested
This is absolutely disgusting! Deputies arrested a Florida man after he threw a 3-year-old Chihuahua off a balcony “like a football.” The poor dog was left with several serious injuries including multiple broken bones. Dalton Chad Sousa, 30, was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty. Even after taking the dog to the vet he gave the veterinarian an attitude and left the dog behind.
Man Threw Chihuahua Off Balcony ‘Like A Football’
Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were called Sunday to the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital after reports of an injured dog. After police arrived at the hospital they learned that a man dropped off the injured Chihuahua. He told them that a friend had thrown the pet named ‘Raven’ off a balcony “like a football.” The sheriff’s office said the man got into a heated argument with the vet and intentionally left Raven behind. Raven has multiple fractures, broken leg, and even a broken mandible. Thankfully police were able to locate Raven’s owner and Sousa was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated animal cruelty.
According to WFLA, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said, “It is always disappointing to learn of an innocent animal abused by an owner they trust. I will continue to do my part to stand up for those who cannot protect themselves. Violent and abusive behavior towards an animal will NOT be tolerated in Lee County.” We hope the suspect will pay for this horrible crime.
Injuring a poor defenseless animal is one of the worst things you can do. Thankfully the vet called the police and reported the incident, especially after Sousa had an attitude. And to just leave your Chihuahua behind with all those injuries is completely heartless. Hopefully he won’t get off easy and will go to jail for a long time.

The first mass shooting of 2024 happened in Pensacola on June 2nd. Nobody was killed but 4 people were inured. The second mass shooting happened on July 28th. 2 people were killed and 5 victims were injured.
