Tampa Hard Rock Casino Evacuated After Two ‘Explosives’ Found
This is extremely alarming! The Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, Florida had to be evacuated after they found two ‘explosives’ hidden on the property. Thankfully the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Team were able to quickly deactivate the devices. Two explosives were found in separate bathrooms at the casino. The campus was evacuated to insure safety during this potentially dangerous situation.
Hard Rock Casino Evacuated After Two Explosives Found:
The first explosive was found right before midnight Sunday evening. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Team discovered a “crude concealed device with fireworks components.” After they found the devices they were able to take them off the premises and deactivated it quickly. The campus was evacuated to insure safety during this potentially dangerous situation. The HCSO quickly responded to the situation and are currently working with the FBI and looking at security footage.
According to The Mirror, “Part of the casino was immediately evacuated, then reopened about 3 a.m., after the device was deactivated and removed. A second hidden bomb was found in a men’s room in the casino’s mezzanine area just after noon on Monday. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Bomb Disposal Team assisted in deactivating and removing the second device in addition to evacuating the mezzanine area.”
This situation is very serious and it’s currently an ongoing investigation involving the Seminole Police Department who is also collaborating with the FBI. They are examining CCTV footage to figure out who intentionally put these explosives on the Hard Rock Casino property. The Hard Rock Casino handled everything appropriately and thankfully evacuated everyone to keep them safe.
