Trader Joe’s Opens 5th Tampa Bay Area Location
A new Trader Joe’s is set to open its doors in Palm Harbor’s Highland Lakes Plaza on Dec. 12, 2024, at 9 a.m. The store will be located at 33597 US Hwy 19 N, making it the fifth store in the Tampa Bay area. The opening kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:55 a.m.
Located near the Nebraska Ave. intersection, this location extends the chain’s presence further north than any other Tampa Bay store. The Palm Harbor store is the second location in Pinellas County, joining other stores in Tampa and St. Petersburg.
The popular grocery store expects to create 65 jobs in Palm Harbor. The team will include both new hires and experienced staff from neighboring locations. Every employee will wear the signature Hawaiian shirts that have become a hallmark of the store.
Beyond retail operations, the store is committed to helping the community. Through their Neighborhood Shares program, they donate unsold but still good food to local food banks.
At Highland Lakes Plaza, customers can expect to find the unique, specialty items that have earned the store such a loyal customer base. The company has built its success by developing distinctive products under their own brand name.
