Benchmark International Arena Hosts Open-House Weekend with 3 Can’t Miss Free Events

Our beloved home for the Tampa Bay Lightning and arguably best concert venue in Tampa is hosting a weekend full of fun with 3 different free events open to the public.

On the weekend of October 17, Benchmark Arena is hosting a free open-house weekend for all kinds of fans. Hockey fans can enjoy a watch party inside the arena as the Bolts take on the Detroit Red Wings. It's always a vibe watching the game inside the arena, whether the Bolts are home or away. Fans can also enjoy local vendors and regional bites from Oak View Group’s in-house culinary team.

The next day hosts a new event for country music fans. Maren Morris is headlining a FREE concert on October 18. How could you pass up on a free show? The weekend wraps up with a public skate and movie night that's fun for the whole family. Ever wanted a chance to skate on the same ice as our Bolts? Now is your chance. The public skate will open at 9am, advance reservations are required for these 45-minute sessions. After skating, families can sit down for a matinee showing of Pixar's Inside Out at 4:30.

The arena is undergoing some changes. Signs are being replaced with the new name Benchmark International Arena. Although it's a bit of a mouthful, we know we can eventually get past calling in Amalie Arena. For now, we like calling it Benchmark Arena or just The Bench.
