A massive 149,000-square-foot Target store opened its doors Sunday in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Situated at 27920 Pink Flamingo Lane in The Grove shopping plaza, this retail giant stands as the second-largest Target in the U.S.
Inside, shoppers will find a mix of stores-within-a-store. A Starbucks sits near the entrance, while CVS Pharmacy, Target Optical, and an Apple section fill other corners. This marks another step in Target's growth to 2,000 locations nationwide.
"This store represents a tremendous investment in our community and underscores the region's rapid growth as one of the most vibrant retail and residential hubs in Florida," developer Mark Gold said in a statement per WTSP.
Fresh food fills the aisles of an expanded grocery wing. Shoppers can grab produce, pick up meat, or stock up on dairy. The store boasts wider aisles in health and beauty, plus extra space for home goods. Quick pickup options include both indoor counters and drive-up spots for online orders.
As 2025's third Florida location opens its doors, Target aims to staff the store with 170 workers.
For Pasco County shoppers, this supersized store marks a shift in local retail options. Wesley Chapel's growing population now has a one-stop shopping spot right in their backyard.
Doors open at 7 a.m. weekdays, closing at 10 p.m. Weekend hours run 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., both Saturday and Sunday.
