Jada Vidal, 23, shows off her cooking skills as she represents Florida in the 24th season of “Hell’s Kitchen.” This season, called "Battle of the States," gathers chefs from all over America in a tough competition for top recognition.

Vidal works as Chef de Cuisine at Kinjo, a new Italian-Japanese restaurant in Tampa. Before that, she was a sous chef at Noble Rice, a modern Japanese spot. Making an impression in the premiere, Vidal served a pan-seared salmon fillet over koshihikari rice, earning praise from Gordon Ramsay.

The current “Hell’s Kitchen” season started in late September 2025 and finishes in early 2026. Episodes air Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox and can be streamed on Hulu. Starting with 50 chefs, the competition now has 20 remaining. Vidal competes with the red team, which is usually the female team.

She discovered her passion for cooking as a teenager at South Tampa’s Elevage. She became lead line cook at Haven and later gained attention with her multi-course pop-up dinners. These events showcased southern and Caribbean dishes paired with wine, enhancing her reputation.

Vidal has been seen on national cooking shows like Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games,” “Chopped,” and “Beachside Brawl.” These competitions highlight her ability to perform under pressure.

Kinjo and Noble Rice belong to the same group as Koya, a Tampa restaurant that received a Michelin star in 2023. Vidal's rise in this culinary scene highlights her commitment and skill.

Chef Ramsay picked this season's contestants for “Hell’s Kitchen.” Michelle Tribble and James Avery serve as sous chefs, leading the red and blue teams. The winner earns a Head Chef job at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, with $250,000 on the line.

Vidal's quick move from sous chef to chef de cuisine highlights her talent and underscores the support for budding chefs in Tampa. Her part in pop-up dining events significantly raised her profile and influence.
