Dunedin Offers Flyboard Flight School

If you have ever wondered what's it like to fly/ride a Flyboard, well you now can at Dunedin's Flyboard Surf Club. What is flyboarding and how do they work? The "rider" is strapped on to the flyboard, which has two downward pointing nozzles that launch high pressure water propelling the rider into the air! The rider can then control the direction of the flyboard by tilting their feet back and forth. It usually only takes first-timers about 15-20 minutes to be able to maintain controlled flight. People who have experience in other balance related sports such as skateboarding and snowboarding tend to excel at flyboarding in just minutes. If you're worried about safety, the riders are always supervised by an experienced instructor. If you do wipeout you're always above water, which makes for easy wipe-outs. The video below gives to a glimpse at what's it like to go Flyboarding.   You can learn more about the Flyboard Surf Club here.
