Florida is home to some of the best theme parks in the United States. I finally live in Tampa and still have yet to experience the rides over at Busch Gardens. I went to Howl-O-Scream, but did not get a chance to ride anything. Of course Ive also been to the some of theme parks in the Orlando area except for 2 ! Sea World and one that is considered very affordable.

U.S. News & World Report put together a list of the 17 top amusement parks in the United States. Parks that made the list were chosen for their easily accessible locations, nearby lodging options and entertainment options.  Below are the the top 10 parks that made the list. See which affordable Florida one made it!

  • Cedar Point: Sandusky, Ohio

    I went to Cedar Point all the time growing up. I lived in Michigan which was not to far away. Cedar point is known for their diverse selection of 70-plus rides which includes 18 world class roller coasters.

  • Knotts Berry Farm: Buena Park, California

    I remember my uncle taking me here during Christmas. He lived in California and they were letting you in free if you donated a toy! Knotss is known for their unique rides and attractions.

  • Kennywood: West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

    Kennywood has very exciting roller coasters and rides that range from mild to intense.

  • Fun Spot America: Orlando, Florida

    This is considered the affordable theme park in Florida. Im shocked it made the list and I must go check it out. They offer roller coasters, go-karts, spin rides and much more.

  • Holiday world and splashin Safari: Santa Claus, Indiana

    This theme park offers family fun for people who are traveling on a budget.

  • Six Flags Magic Mountain: Valencia, California

    I went here for my 8th grade graduation night. I lived in Castaic, California and this is where my school took us. It was so much fun and I remember really enjoying the Superman ride. This theme park is great for families with kids off all ages and adults who are thrill seekers.

  • Walt Disney World Resort: Orland, Florida

    Everyone loves Disney. I just went to Disney world last month for their Black History Month Celebration. We stayed at the Coranado resort and loved every minute of it. I would have to say my favorite park is Magic Kingdom.

  • SeaWorld San Diego: San Diego, California

    I have yet to go to any SeaWorld Parks. This park in California has one the tallest, fastest and longest dive roller coaster in California.

  • Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Tampa, Florida

    I had so much fun at Busch Gardens during Halloween. Now all I have to do is actually go back and ride everything. Busch Garden’s has a theme park, water park and full zoo with over 200 species of animals. They are also unveiling a new ride this year called Serengeti Flyer.

  • Silver Dollar City: Branson Missouri

    This 1880s inspired theme park features 40 rides and attractions which includes drop rides, swing rides, a spinning coaster and much more.
