According to Money Geek the national unemployment rate is relatively low. In January of this year the unemployment rate was just 3.4% which is similar to the rate before the pandemic. Even though the unemployment rate is low, people are always looking for job. I see so many hiring signs in St. Petersburg, but this city did not make the list.

It is always a job seekers market and some may pack up and move for better opportunities. If you are looking to move to Florida, there is a city that is number one for job seekers in America.

To create this list, Monkey Geek used data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. They researched 95 metropolitan areas with labor forces of at least 300,000 to find the best places for people looking for jobs in the United States in 2023.

To determine the rankings they analyzed,  1. wage and job growth 2. unemployment rate 3. labor force size and housing affordability.
