Recently, it's been extremely difficult to get a reservation at the highly acclaimed Tampa restaurant. It’s almost impossible to get a reservation at Bern's unless you wake up at 12 a.m. to schedule a spot two months ahead. When we shared the story with our listeners, a lot of people were commenting that Bern's isn't even the best steak house in Tampa. "Don't waste your time," one listener wrote. "Not that great anymore," wrote another listener.

That got us thinking, what would be a better spot to go to for a good steak dinner? From restaurants that are good for the whole family, or just for date night, here's the steak houses in Tampa that we recommend.

In our post about Bern's, a lot of WiLD listeners said that this is the REAL place to get the best steak in Tampa. It's just as good as Bern's (if not better, according to our listeners) and it's much easier to get through the doors.

This Hyde Park hotspot has been on our radar for a while. Meat Market describes themselves as a "sexier, more glamorous steakhouse," which makes it a perfect spot for your next date night.

Malio's Steakhouse, for over 35 years, earned a reputation for serving the finest quality, with superior service and atmosphere.

This is one of the most unique steakhouses in Tampa. Your USDA Prime steak will arrive on a 755 degree volcanic stone. Basically you use the stone as your plate and cook each piece as you go. Making each bite tender, juicy and hot. If that's not your thing, the kitchen will be happy to cook it for you, but we definitely recommend trying it on the stone.
