It has been difficult times for many people the past few years. However local nonprofit Children’s Home Network provides compassionate and effective services that create opportunities for success for at-risk children and families.
Children’s Home Network has been helping kids in central Florida for over a century. Founder Carrie Hammerly began taking orphaned children way back in 1892. Little did she know that this selfless act would spark an organization that still helps over 25,000 children and adults each year. In 1967 the City of Tampa provided a brand new 88-acre location where they still continue to provide residential services today. Children’s Home Network offers eight different innovative programs and services that have a positive impact on children and their families. Their goal is to help children build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life. Last year, their services and programs impacted the lives of over 6,700 children and their families.
Children’s Home Network accepts gift donations throughout the year to help provide children and families with everyday resources that so many of us take for granted. Click here to make a donation, or consider volunteering! Here’s a list of their programs and how they help families in need.
