This Is The Living Wage In Florida

It's 2023, I live in St. Petersburg Florida and I am currently making more than the living wage. With that being said, it still feels like I am living pay check to pay check at times. I don't have any kids but I do take care of family. It's starting to feel like everything is going up but our wages right?

Are you a person that is currently looking to move to Florida? If so, having the right job when you get here is important, especially if you have a family. It's also important to know how much you need to earn in order to live here. I found a website, that is pretty much spot on with the answer

The living wage calculator website gives us the hourly rate that a person must earn to support themselves and their family. These results are based on the assumption that the provider is working a full time job.  Working a full time job is at least 2080 hours per year. The tool provides information for people and households with one or two working adults and zero to three kids. All results are per working adult, single or in a family.

However much you are making, I hope you are able to enjoy life. Time flies and I hate feeling like Im missing out on what's important. What's important is family.  Many of us get caught up in working and we forget to cherish precious moment's with our loved ones. Yes, you need money to survive, but you have to actually be happy and healthy to survive as well.

One Adult with 1 kid: You have to make $35.98 per hour

One Adult with 2 kids: You have to make $45.96 per hour

One Adult with 3 kids: You have to make $60.66 per hour

2 Adults ( 1 working) with 0 kids: You have to make $27.71 per hour 

2 Adults ( 1 working) with 1 kid: You have to make $34.27 per hour

2 Adults ( 1 working) with 2 kids: You have to make $39.04 per hour

2 Adults ( 1 working) with 3 kids: You have to make $43.84 per hour 

2 Working Adults with 0 kids: You have to make $13.85 per hour

2 Working Adults with 1 kid: You have to make $19.91 per hour

2 Working Adults with 2 kids: You have to make $25.07 per hour

2 Working Adults with 3 kids: You have to make $30.25 per hour.
