Everything You Need To Know Before Seeing Beyoncé In Tampa
The queen is coming! Beyoncé is bringing The Renaissance World Tour to Tampa at Raymond James Stadium on Wednesday, August 16. Midtown is going to be PACKED with the Bey-hive. Here’s everything you need to know before seeing THE Sasha Fierce.
Buy Parking Ahead of Time
Parking can be a nightmare at Raymond James on event/game days. You can buy parking ahead of time by clicking here. Only a couple lots are sold out (as of Monday 8/7 afternoon). You can expect to pay at least $50 online or in person for parking around Ray Jay. If all lots end up selling out, we recommend parking at the following locations:
- Hillsborough Community College lots entering off Dale Mabry or Lois Ave
- Al Lopez park entering off Himes Ave
- Jesuit High School Parking – enter off Himes Ave or MLK Blvd
Parking can also be found in the surrounding neighborhoods and business. Many charge to park in their front lawns. You will need cash. Most front yards can be anywhere between $20 – $60 during a Bucs game so expect to pay more then that for Queen Bey.
What Time Gates/Lots Will Open
Raymond James’ website doesn’t have a time listed for the parking lots, but they usually open 2-3 hours before doors. The doors open at 6pm and VIP access opens at 5:30pm. The show is expected to start at 8pm.
Are Tickets Still Available?
Ticketmaster actually still has some seats available! However they’re in the section facing the side of the stage. Meaning your view is likely to be obstructed. There are plenty of resale seats available, if you’re looking for a better view. Click here to see the cheapest and most expensive ticket in every city for the tour.
Ride Share Information.
If you choose to use Uber or Lyft the drop off site and pickup zone is at Steinbrenner Field, across Dale Mabry. Best to use the pedestrian bridge to get to the stadium. Keep in mind, there will be surge charges during this show. It’s going to be expensive. You can try scheduling in advance!
Bag Policy
Raymond James Stadium has a no bag policy. You can only bring in one clutch purse no larger then 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. If you forget to leave your bag behind, you can store in a locker you will need to rent near gate C.
Other Tips:
- Wear comfy shoes!! Beyoncé won’t be seeing your feet, so why bother walking around in heels/boots all night? You can thank us later.
- During the song ‘Energy’ go silent after the lyrics “Look around everybody on MUTE”. Each city has done a challenge to see who can stay quiet the longest. Queen Bey will let you know when it’s time to go crazy.
- BRING EARPLUGS! The Bey hive is LOUD, if you don’t bring some earplugs, your ears will be ringing for hours after the show.
- The weather is going to be HEATED, so dress appropriately. It is expected to have about 60% chance of rain that day, but that’s August in Florida.
- Don’t stress if you don’t get merch at the show. Beyoncé launched an Amazon storefront that carries an exclusive online collection.
- Pack a water bottle and snacks in your car for after the show.
- Bring a portable charger, especially if you record a lot.
- Also bring a battery powered fan to combat that Florida August heat!
- Don’t bring signs or wear outfits that have battery powered lights. This is against Raymond James Stadium policy.
- No signs larger than 11” x 17″
- Take a picture of where you parked, or ask Siri to drop a pin.
